Crochet your Chakra Mandala Set

The Seven Chakras

Chakra means wheel in sanskrit and refers to the circular spheres of energy in the body.

The chakras correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs and areas of our energetic body that affect our emotional and physical well-being.

There are seven main chakras that run along your spine, though there is an infinite number of chakras in the human body. The main seven are the chakras featured here in my latest crochet pattern bundle. Recently I have become quite interested in the spiritual and the unseen. And exploring the Chakras has been illuminating, so much so that during a meditation session on a group coaching call I had a vision of these very mandalas hanging on my wall, one colour after the other.

Each Chakra has a related colour, symbol, sound, vibration and areas of the body it is linked to. Learning about the different ways blocked chakras can manifest in the body is fascinating. For example, a blocked root chakra can lead to feelings of instability, lack of ambition, fear and frustration. When you balance your root chakra, these feelings can be replaced by more positive feelings, more energy, confidence and independence.

Many different factors influence whether a chakra may be blocked or not. These include diet, lifestyle, thought patterns etc. Meditation is a very helpful way of clearing the mind and removing negativity. That is why in my pattern document, I have included a summary on each of the Chakras and a mantra for you to repeat while you make each of the Chakra Mandalas. This will help focus to your mind, bring intentionality to your crochet, and may help you unblock any Chakras you might be struggling with.

This pattern bundle comes as an 26-page e-book including 7 patterns and mantras for each Chakra, available here in my shop and also on both Etsy and Ravelry so you can choose your favourite platform.

I had an incredible group of testers who helped me iron out the kinks and find those mistakes that inevitably come when you rush through something out of excitement.

Here are some of their beautiful creations.

I would love to see your Chakra wall hangings in their new homes, so share and tag your pics over on Instagram with #crochetyourchakra and #katemadeit
