It's finally here... the long awaited pattern for my gorgeous long ribbed crochet scarf with pompoms. I don't know why this took me so long to write up, because really it's a very simple pattern, but alas, here it is!
Approx 400gms of Bendigo Woolen Mills Classic 8ply in Grey - find it here
Approx 50gms of Nundle Woolen Mills Chaffey Yarn in Mustard - find it here
Size 5 hook.
Chain 30 plus 3 (34)
Row 1: Skip first 2 chains, Double crochet in each chain to end. Chain 2 and turn.
Row 2: Double crochet in first stitch, then front post double crochet in second stitch, back post double crochet in next stitch. Alternate front and back post double crochet to end. Normal double crochet in last stitch.
Row 3: Double crochet in first stitch, alternate front and back post double crochet in each stitch to create rib effect. Continue this until scarf is at your desired length.
(I made mine really long so it could be wrapped around twice and be super snuggly.)
When your scarf is at the desired length, crab stitch around entire scarf to give the edges a ribbed effect as well.
Make 4 pompoms from your accent colour and attach them securely to the ends of the scarf.
What did I tell you easy peasy! A great beginner scarf because it looks so fancy but is so easy to stitch up! A great TV watching project.
What colour will your pompoms be??
