The Ripple Effect Mandala is the most natural design I have ever created. It flowed out of me so easily and I just love this design. Now the time has come to publish the pattern as my testers have finished their gorgeous versions of it! (see below)
This pattern is perfect for someone wanting to dip their toes into the Mandala /Doily world of crochet. The stitches and repeats are simple, you just need to know the back post stitches and where the third loop is on a Half Double Crochet.
If you are keen to get make yourself a beautiful textured wall hanging, grab the pattern from either of the links below for Ravelry and Etsy.
I have a bit of an obsession with hand dyed indie yarn at the moment, and this one is no exception. Ashley from Montana Crochet gifted me this gorgeous Lake Sherburn colourway in fingering weight superwash merino yarn. When I set out to design a new pattern, I love it when the yarn decides what it wants to be and this one spoke to me so clearly. This design came together with ease and it gave me feel such a sense of 'Yes, you are doing what you were put on this earth to do'.
I also had three wonderful testers go through this pattern and I just love that they all had different yarn choices. Here they are! Aren't they lovely!
Happy Hooking and I hope to see your version over on #therippleeffectmandala on Instagram!
